Towns in the Caradon Area | South East Cornwall Guide

The Caradon area covers South East Cornwall, stretching from the southern fringes of Bodmin Moor down to the Tamar Valley and the fishing harbours of the south coast. Liskeard is the area's main market town, while Saltash sits at the Cornish gateway across the Tamar from Plymouth, and Callington serves the western edge of the Tamar Valley. Along the coast, Looe, Polperro and Polruan remain classic Cornish fishing villages with working harbours and narrow, winding streets.

Inland, the granite moorland around Minions is home to the Cheesewring and the Hurlers stone circle, with St Cleer and St Neot close by on the moor's southern edge. The Tamar Valley towns of Calstock and Gunnislake trace the river's route north, once busy with mining traffic and now popular for walking and cycling. Cawsand and Kingsand sit together on the Rame Peninsula, looking out across Plymouth Sound, while St Germans lies quietly on its own tidal creek off the Lynher.
