Cornwall's calendar is one of the richest in Britain. Ancient customs such as Padstow's 'Obby 'Oss on May Day, Helston's Flora Day and hurling the silver ball at St Ives still draw crowds every year, while summer brings Boardmasters to Newquay, world-class sailing at Falmouth Week and the Fowey Royal Regatta, and the British Firework Championships over Plymouth Sound.
This guide lists 27 events still to come in the rest of 2026, from the Falmouth Oyster Festival to New Year's Eve in St Ives, followed by 93 of the best events across Cornwall and Plymouth in 2027, in date order for each month. For every event you will find the date and times, the location, a short description, what it costs, where to park and what to expect for disabled access. Literary festivals at Fowey, Penzance and Falmouth, food festivals from Porthleven to Truro, sea shanty weekends, agricultural shows and the midwinter festivals of Montol and Tom Bawcock's Eve are all included.
Many organisers do not announce next year's dates until their current event is over, so each listing is labelled to show whether the 2027 date is confirmed or still to be announced. Always check the official website before you travel – and if you are planning a stay, each event links to holiday accommodation nearby, booked direct with the owners.

Still to come this autumn: the Falmouth Oyster Festival, Lowender in Redruth, the Mevagissey Shanty Festival, Falmouth Book Festival and Halloween at the Eden Project.
Bonfire Night on Plymouth Hoe, Remembrance, the Cotehele Christmas garland and the first Christmas lights switch-ons of 2026.
Christmas markets and harbour lights, then Montol, Tom Bawcock's Eve and New Year's Eve in St Ives to finish 2026.
January to December 2027, month by month.
Cornwall is at its quietest in January, but the county still has plenty on – from Twelfth Night wassailing to winter ice skating at the Eden Project.
February brings two of Cornwall's oldest traditions – hurling the silver ball at St Ives and St Columb – plus half-term family events and a new comedy festival in Plymouth.
St Piran's Day on 5 March is Cornwall's national day, with parades and processions across the county, and the first spring flower shows open the gardening year.
Spring gets going in April with Cornwall's biggest flower show, harbourside food festivals and Camborne's steam-powered Trevithick Day.
May is the month of Cornwall's great folk customs – Padstow's 'Obby 'Oss and Helston's Flora Day – alongside the Fowey literary festival and gig racing on Scilly.
June is packed: the Royal Cornwall Show, the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival and Classics regatta, beach music festivals and Penzance's midsummer Golowan.
July brings agricultural shows, carnival weeks, village regattas and the start of the summer festival season.
August is Cornwall's busiest month for events – Boardmasters in Newquay, the great regattas at Falmouth and Fowey, and the British Firework Championships on Plymouth Hoe.
As the summer crowds leave, September brings arts and jazz festivals, food festivals and free Heritage Open Days – plus Red Bull's mast challenge in Plymouth.
Autumn festivals celebrate Fal oysters, sea shanties, Celtic music and books, and the county's attractions go Halloween-themed for half-term.
Bonfire Night, Remembrance and the first Christmas lights switch-ons mark November across Cornwall and Plymouth.
December ends the year with harbour lights, Christmas markets and two of Cornwall's most distinctive midwinter traditions – Montol and Tom Bawcock's Eve.
