Screech Owl Sanctuary & Animal Park
Owls from around the world, resident animals and daily flying demonstrations near Indian Queens
Goss Moor, nr. Indian Queens, Cornwall, TR9 6HP | 01726 860182
Screech Owl Sanctuary & Animal Park sits on the edge of Goss Moor near Indian Queens, in the heart of Cornwall, and is home to owl species from right around the world - British, European, African, American, Asian, Australasian and West Indian birds are all represented, alongside resident non-birds-of-prey including lemurs, goats and foxes. Daily flying demonstrations bring the birds up close, and the site also runs regular animal encounters, a children's play area, café and gift shop.
Behind the visitor attraction is a genuine rescue and rehabilitation operation: the sanctuary runs an owl hospital caring for injured and orphaned wild owls found across Cornwall, and is actively fundraising to expand that facility. It also runs conservation projects including a Siberian Eagle Owl breeding programme, and hosts educational visits for school and community groups throughout the season.
The park is fully accessible to visitors with assistance dogs (other dogs aren't permitted on site), and carers accompanying visitors with DLA, PIP, a Blue Badge or an Access Card are admitted free of charge.
