Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre
Pony rides, fairground fun and an indoor play barn near St Columb Major
Trekenning, St Columb Major, Cornwall, TR9 6HU | 01637 881224
A pony-themed fun park just off the A39
Just off the A39 near the Trekenning roundabout, around 20 minutes' drive from Newquay, Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre pairs a traditional fairground with animal rides in a single family-friendly site. As the name suggests, pony rides are a centrepiece - alongside other rescue animals including shire horses and ducks - but there's a full programme of rides too, from a 1902-replica carousel and helter skelter to a roller coaster, go-karts, dodgems and a ghost train.
Younger visitors are well catered for with a drop slide, spinning barrel walkthrough, trampolines and rowing boats outdoors, plus "Enchanted Wood," a glow-in-the-dark indoor soft play area that makes the park a viable option even when the Cornish weather turns. Springfields also operates as a campsite, so it's sometimes seen branded as Springfield Fun Park & Campsite for visitors staying on site.
The park is pay-on-arrival with no booking required, and admission is priced separately from most individual rides and pony rides - see the pricing note below for details.
