Trethorne Leisure Park sits just off the A30 at Kennards House, a few minutes from Launceston on the Devon/Cornwall border, and is built specifically to work whatever the weather does. Indoors, there's soft play and ball pools for younger children, a 10-pin bowling alley with amusements, and a restaurant and play barn café to eat in out of the rain. Outside, the fun park adds slides and outdoor play, dodgems, and animal encounters where visitors can meet the park's resident animals.

It's aimed squarely at families with a mix of ages, with content pitched from toddlers right through to older children and adults on the bowling lanes, and the park runs day tickets, twilight rates for shorter visits, return tickets and season passes for regular visitors - including an unlimited summer pass through July and August. A seasonal events programme adds extras through the year, including Christmas activities.

Combined with neighbouring Hidden Valley - The Puzzle Park, a few minutes further down the road, Trethorne makes this stretch of the Launceston area one of North Cornwall's stronger clusters for a family day out that doesn't depend on the weather cooperating.
