Diving the wrecks and reefs of the Fal
Atlantic Scuba was a PADI dive centre based near Falmouth, offering everything from a first try-dive through to advanced and technical training. The centre ran PADI, SDI/TDI and RAID courses, guided and boat dives, snorkelling and freediving instruction, alongside a retail shop, equipment hire, gas fills (air, nitrox, oxygen and trimix) and cylinder or regulator servicing.
The centre's dive boats worked out of Mylor Harbour on the Fal Estuary, giving access to a wide spread of local sites: the Manacles, a notorious reef and wreck site off the Lizard Peninsula between Dodman Point and Lizard Point, along with Falmouth Bay, Gerrans Bay and Veryan Bay, covering wrecks, reefs and caves in both shallow and deep water within around twenty miles of the harbour.
Atlantic Scuba was founded in 2008 by Mark Milburn, an experienced technical and closed-circuit rebreather diver and author of Falmouth Underwater, and built its reputation on his deep local knowledge of Cornish dive sites over more than fifteen years. The dive centre has since permanently closed.
