The UK's biggest zip wire and giant swing, over a flooded Cornish quarry near Liskeard

Adrenalin Quarry is a former slate quarry in South East Cornwall, just off the A38 between Liskeard and Looe, that's been transformed into one of the county's biggest adrenaline-fuelled days out. At its heart is the Zip Wire - a 490-metre twin-parallel line strung high above the flooded quarry lake, reaching speeds of around 40mph as riders fly between sheer rock faces. It was once billed as the UK's biggest, and remains one of the most talked-about zip wire experiences in the country.
Alongside the zip wire sits the Giant Swing, which hoists riders up to 80° before releasing them in a three-at-a-time freefall drop of around 150ft over the water - a brief moment of weightlessness before swinging back out again. For a gentler but still soggy thrill, the inflatable Aquapark is a floating obstacle course on the quarry lake, popular with families and groups in summer.
Beyond the water, Adrenalin Quarry also runs a go-karting track with sessions for adults, families and younger children on coin-operated electric karts, plus axe throwing for those 12 and over. General site entry, parking, spectating and picnicking are free - you only pay for the activities you take part in, and most can be booked in combination for a full day of adrenaline.

Did you know?
Adrenalin Quarry's Zip Wire and Giant Swing were both built into a genuine disused slate quarry - the sheer rock faces and deep water below are the real thing, not a purpose-built structure.
