Long Meadow Cottage is a fresh, contemporary property, a perfect retreat from which to relax and explore the North Cornwall coast. The cottage is tucked away in the quiet village of Pendoggett (from the Cornish, meaning 'head of two woods') in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Nearby are a string of beaches, including the rugged Lundy Bay (4 miles), surfing beach of Polzeath (6 miles), the family beach of Daymer Bay (7 miles) and the sailing and water sports resort of Rock (8 miles) which will appeal to visitors looking for excitement and activity as well as those hoping to enjoy a relaxing seaside break.

The pretty fishing village of Port Isaac (3 miles), location for the filming of the Doc Martin TV series, provides the nearest shops and restaurants. Fishing or scenic boat trips can be arranged from Port Isaac in season and the local catch is on sale at the harbour fishmongers or at the popular fish and chip shop.

Long Meadow is within minutes walk of the village pub and only a short drive from other excellent inns and restaurants including Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant at Padstow and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Newquay.

In addition to excellent coastal and countryside walks, the area offers several golf courses including St Enodoc and Bowood. The nearby town of Wadebridge (6 miles) has a range of shops and facilities including a cinema and sports centre with swimming pool. Bikes can be hired here for the Camel Trail, a former railway line, running along the Camel estuary to Padstow. The trail offers delightful walks and cycle rides with excellent bird watching opportunities. Surfing lessons and coastal kayaking trips can be arranged nearby and a number of local riding stables offer trekking on Bodmin Moor.

As well as stunning beaches and countryside, a variety of fabulous gardens, historic sites, National Trust properties and other attractions make superb day trips - the Eden Project (19 miles), Tintagel Castle (7 miles), Lanhydrock House (13 Miles), The Lost Gardens of Heligan (26 miles), Boscastle (10 miles), Padstow (14 miles by road, 8 miles via passenger ferry from Rock), Newquay (20 miles), Crealy Adventure Park (11 miles) and many more.
