West Nethercott Farm is ideally placed close to the sandy beaches of Bude, Widemouth Bay and the North Cornish coast, just nine miles from the A30. It is a relaxing base for exploring both the North Cornish and Devon coasts and for touring Devon and Cornwall.

Start your day with a hearty farmhouse breakfast using locally produced food, then bring your wellies and enjoy the many walks from the farm – you can even watch the milking. Quality local food and plenty of home cooking, with evening dinner available.

The Farmhouse

The traditional farmhouse has two large en-suite bedrooms and one single bedroom, with a dining room and a separate lounge with TV. Rooms have TV and tea and coffee making facilities, with ironing facilities and a hairdryer available, towels provided and Wi-Fi throughout.

Children are welcome (with reduced rates), special diets can be catered for, and there is parking and access to the house at any time. The farmhouse is non-smoking and meets full fire regulations.

The farm is a short distance from the rugged North Cornwall coast, with sandy beaches, surfing at Widemouth Bay and Bude, picturesque fishing ports and villages and the coastal footpath. It is an ideal base for visiting any part of Devon and Cornwall – Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, historic castles and churches, the market town of Holsworthy, cycleways and the Eden Project.

At Whitstone (EX22 6LD), close to the sandy beaches of Bude and Widemouth Bay and nine miles from the A30. The farm is in Cornwall, although its postal address is Holsworthy, Devon.

Widemouth Bay and Bude’s Summerleaze and Crooklets are wide sandy surf beaches with lifeguards in summer; Sandymouth and Crackington Haven are more dramatic coves.

Yes – Bude and Widemouth Bay have some of the best surfing beaches in the UK, with surf schools and board hire, plus the tidal Bude Sea Pool at Summerleaze.
