Lantern Cottage is a cosy two-bedroom cottage next door to Courtyard Cottage, in a quiet spot just a short, level walk from the harbour, restaurants and pubs in Mevagissey’s narrow streets – close to everything, yet far enough from the bustle to be peaceful at night.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom two single beds. The bathroom, with underfloor heating, has a bath and shower. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge, and the lounge has Freeview TV and a DVD player. Outside, the decking area with a barbecue is perfect for summer evenings.

Mevagissey is one of Cornwall’s best-loved working fishing villages, with a double harbour, narrow streets of cafes, galleries and pubs, and boat trips and fishing trips from the quay – with a summer ferry across the bay to Fowey.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan are only about a mile away, and the Eden Project, Charlestown and Fowey are all within easy reach. The South West Coast Path leads south to Portmellon, Gorran Haven and Dodman Point.
