Self-catering holidays and Holiday cottages in Altarnun

Local info

Altarnun is a quiet moorland village on the eastern side of Bodmin Moor, with granite cottages, a packhorse bridge over Penpont Water and the large parish church of St Nonna, often called the Cathedral of the Moor. A self-catering holiday cottage here gives you peace and dark skies, yet the A30 is moments away, so Launceston, the north coast and the rest of Cornwall are easy to reach.

Walkers can head straight out onto the moor, with Brown Willy, Rough Tor and historic Jamaica Inn all close by, while the market town of Launceston, with its Norman castle, is a short drive east. It is a good base for a relaxed countryside break, and owners listed here take bookings direct, with no booking fees.
