About the Atlantic View Hotel

The Atlantic View Hotel offered bed and breakfast in a lovely Victorian house in the small hamlet of Treknow, a mile outside Tintagel, set 300 yards back from the rugged and dramatic cliff top. When it advertised with us it had an indoor swimming pool, and there was easy access on foot to the coast path – north to the castle ruins and south to Trebarwith Strand.

Tintagel is famous for its connection with the legend of King Arthur, with gift shops, tea rooms, pubs, King Arthur’s Hall and the ruins of Tintagel Castle – a remarkable place of romance and legend. Trebarwith Strand, a beautiful beach at low tide, is ideal for rock pooling and surfing.

Tintagel is a good springboard for touring Cornwall and Devon, with National Trust houses and gardens, golf courses, fishing harbours and beaches within easy driving distance.
