Within a few miles of Wooldown Farm are the Blue Flag Supervised beaches of Widemouth Bay and Bude, both renowned for their good surf. The resort town of Bude has a good selection of quality shops and supermarkets.

Wooldown Farm is situated on the outskirts of the village of Marhamchurch, with its family friendly pub/restaurant.

Cornwall has 300 miles of coastal footpath, which forms part of the South West Coast Path. A very popular route is to take the foot path along the old canal into Bude.
