Welcombe House is family run and lies within the beautiful village of Welcombe, with its beaches, AONB coast and countryside, deep lanes and handsome church. The village has a gem of a local thatched pub, The Old Smithy - which has an enviable reputation for its real ales and delicious food, made from locally sourced produce. Welcombe House, itself, sits in grounds of around three acres and has an adjoining 4-acre paddock with stunning sea and countryside views - which is available for use, when it has been cut for hay in June.

Welcombe Mouth and Marsland Mouth beaches are very close by. Welcombe Mouth has a car park and both beaches can be easily walked to on the many footpaths. The scenically stunning South West Coastal Footpath is literally 10 minutes easy walk from the house. The house and village sit within an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty and shares a boundary with the renowned Marsland Valley Nature Reserve; a beautiful place to walk all through the year. This connects with the Bird Sanctuary, SSI, N.T. land and both local beaches.

Welcombe House and Welcombe are wonderful locations for family holidays, a haven for walkers, with coast, woodland or countryside to choose from. Our house and village is a great place to be located for the many activities available locally and within neighbouring villages and towns.

Both of our fully self contained 1st floor holiday apartments each sleep up to four people very comfortably and have king size beds in the double rooms. It is believed the Walker Family (of Johnnie Walker whisky fame) built the house 1860. The house, apartments & grounds enjoy superb views over the sea and the surrounding countryside of Devon & Cornwall.
