Polperro - ancient fishing village

Polperro is a quaint fishing village nestling in a wooded and grassed valley with a small stream running through to the harbour and sea. It is one of the most popular villages in Britain attracting both Artists and visitors with its picturesque harbour.

Fishing trips and coastal cruises operate from the quayside to take visitors along the coastline to see the cliffs, secluded beaches and caves.

Polperro has a sand and shingle beach with plenty of rock pools to explore, the largest rock pool in the village being Chapel pool, which is changed, daily by the tide, and very popular with swimmers.

East and West Looe

Looe

For centuries the river, harbour and fishing has been the lifeblood of the twin towns of East and West Looe. Almost daily it is possible to watch fresh fish being landed and sold on the quay. Looe has a large sandy beach flanked by the unusual and famous "Banjo pier".

There are many activities held on the beach throughout the summer months for children to enjoy including parascending, water skiing and bungee bounce, with fishing trips and coastal cruises available from the quayside.

With it's working fishing port and lovely sandy beach there is something to offer everybody.

Looe has a varied selection of cosy pubs and good quality cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. A visit by boat to St George's or "Looe Island" nature reserve is a must!
