Benbole Farm has panoramic views stretching as far as
Bodmin moor It is two miles to the sea and you can walk from
the Barn to the North Cornwall Coastal path, crossing only one road. The
farm is small and family friendly and most of our sheep are tame.
We practise low intensity farming, so our fields are flowery, skylarks nest and buzzards fly overhead. And if you like watching rabbits, there are plenty. They even come into the half acre garden, where you are free to relax and children can play. There is a little spring fed pond in the garden where children like to try and catch the few remaining tadpoles
Once a milking parlour for a small dairy herd with a hay
loft above, the Barn has been sympathetically converted into a comfortable residence.
It is attractively furnished in soft and vibrant colours and there is
plenty of space.
Broad steps lead up from the courtyard to the living room where you can access the internet from comfy lounge sofas. The well equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, washing machine, cooker and microwave, leads off the living room.
Downstairs, there are two double bedrooms and a twin bedded room. The shower room with toilet is on the ground floor. There is a door to the outside from the downstairs passageway. The Barn stands near to the farmhouse, but is independent of it. There is garden furniture and a barbeque in the courtyard.
A well behaved dog is welcome. (small charge £15 pw)
It's half a mile to St Teath village with its well stocked village shop and post office and you can buy excellent local meat at the butcher's. The pub has a restaurant and an outside garden.
The nearest beach is Trebarwith Strand, with surf and big rock pools. Polzeath, a great surfing beach, is eight miles down the coast and just beyond are Daymer Bay and Rock, where the sea is gentle.
Hire bikes and cycle on the Camel Trail, visit the award winning Camel Valley Vinyard or the Bodmin and Wenford steam railway.
Drive to Camel Creek Adventure Park or Flambard's
Theme Park, or, for the verybrave, visit the Adrenalin Quarry with
its zip wire and over-cliff swing.
The picturesque harbours of Boscastle and Port Isaac are nearby, or cross to Padstow on the ferry from Rock and have fish and chips at Rick Stein's.
Further afield are the Eden Project, historic houses and their gardens and Cornwall's industrial heritage.
