Coasteering is one of the UK’s most popular coastal adventure activities. It combines swimming, scrambling, and cliff-jumping along stretches of cliffs, giving you access to parts of the coastline you’d never normally see. You’ll experience Cornwall’s marine wildlife, sea caves, and dramatic granite cliffs in the most exciting way possible.
No two trips are the same. Conditions and tides make every adventure unique, whether you’re threading sea arches at Land’s End, swimming into secret caves near Penzance, or tackling jumps on the Isles of Scilly. It’s an activity that blends adrenaline with natural beauty — and once you’ve tried it, you’ll see why it’s so popular.
We provide all the specialist equipment you’ll need, including a warm wetsuit, helmet, and buoyancy aid. You just need to bring a pair of trainers that you don’t mind getting wet, swimwear to wear underneath the wetsuit, a towel, and an extra pair of shorts to wear over the wetsuit.
Sessions usually last around 2–3 hours and are led by guides with unmatched experience and detailed local knowledge of Cornwall’s coastline. No previous coasteering experience is necessary, but you should be able to swim 50m confidently in a swimming pool. Participants must be at least 9 years old, and under 14s need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the activity.
Coasteering with Kernow Coasteering is open to everyone — from families looking for an adventurous day out, to groups of friends, stag and hen parties, school groups, and corporate team building events.
Prices start from £50 per person, with the same rate for adults and children. Advanced sessions are also available for those seeking an extra challenge.
