Whitewalls Cottage - Mithian
 

300 year old Whitewalls Cottage is positioned on the edge of Mithian village at the end of a row of three picturesque thatched cottages. The village boasts a delightful 16th century pub serving meals all year only 2 minutes walk away and a restaurant. The cottage is only a ten minute drive away from the nearest beach. Nearby St Agnes has a good selection of grocery shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Thathed Cottage Accommodation:

This enchanting cottage offers charming and comfortable accommodation.

At the rear there is a small secluded yard with colourful container plants and a seat for two. A stable door leads in from the courtyard to the galley kitchen which is equipped with electric hob and oven, fridge, microwave and washing machine. The cosy and comfortably furnished sitting room with beamed ceiling and thick cob walls has an open coal fire in a stone and slate fireplace. A Digital TV/DVD player and radio/CD player with MP3 facility are provided. The shower room/WC is also downstairs.

Steep ladder style stairs lead up to the light and airy bedroom with sloping ceilings. It is fitted with a double bed, walk-in wardrobe and bedside drawers. All bed linen is provided.

A full description of the cottage with more internal pictures will be e-mailed to you with rental terms and conditions. Winter heating is by storage heaters. Reasonable seasonal use of electricity is included in the rental price.

Parking is on the road outside the cottage. Please note: Owing to the steep staircase the cottage is unsuitable for the infirm or children . We regret no pets and non-smokers only please.

Attractions:

The area is a walker's paradise. Trevellas and Trevaunance Coves are less than an hour's walk through leafy Jericho Valley and Perranporth, only 4 miles away, can be reached via quiet country lanes. St Agnes has art galleries and craft workshops and the St Agnes Museum illustrates local industrial history. Blue Hills Tin Mining Centre allows you to try your hand at panning for tin! Sports enthusiasts can get their thrills on vast beaches with surfing schools nearby, a golf course in Perranporth and cycling along country lanes or cycleways where bikes can be hired.

Mithian is conveniently located to reach many of Cornwall's most best known attractions. Within an hour's drive of Whitewalls are many attractions; you can take a boat trip along the River Fal from Truro to Falmouth, explore the Roseland Peninsula, wander the National Trust Gardens at Trelessick and Gendurgan or walk out to spectacular St Michael's Mount when the tide is right. All Cornwall's many gardens, as well as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, can be reached as can its coastal castles and mining heritage sites.

Cornwall is justifiably famed for its fresh food and quality restaurants and all of these are easily reached from the cottage, including local Callestick Farm where delicious ice-cream is made and sold!
