Lands End Holiday Cottage Accommodatiom
The dining room has been opened up into the well
equipped kitchen and given a lovely oak floor and a large dining
table. At breakfast, lunch and dinner you have stunning views
across the ancient walled fields to the Atlantic and
the lighthouse at Pendeen. There is a large sofa by the windows to stretch
out on with a book.
The spacious sitting room is warm and cosy
with a wood burning stove surrounded by sofas and
antique bergere chairs. For entertainment there is a TV with Freeview,
DVD and video player. At the other end of the room there is a quiet
space for listening to music beside an antique dresser and desk. There
is a door to the sun room with views across the fields to distant farms.
There is a downstairs loo at the end of the sun room.
There are two sets of open tread staircases - the first
leading from the dining room to bedroom one with a king-size
bed and spectacular views on two sides.
Next door is a bathroom comprising washbasin, bath
(with over bath shower) and wc.
Bedroom two can be accessed by either staircase
and has a king-size zip and link bed which can be divided into two single
beds. This beamed bedroom has views from the three cottage windows.
The second open tread staircase also leads to a twin
bedroom which has two 3 foot single beds with dunlopillow mattresses
and a view across the fields.
Next door is a small single bedroom with one 3 foot
single bed which also has a view across farmland.
This year we have transformed the second bathroom in to
a beautiful shower room
There is an enclosed garden with a Weber barbecue
and garden furniture.
Private parking for three cars beside the house.
Wheal Rose is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty on a quiet lane 15 minutes walk to Portheras Cove a
lovely sandy cove and one of the last remaining truly local Cornish beaches.
Seals are a common sight here and dogs are permitted on the beach.
On your walk to the beach you join the South West Coastal
Path which takes you eastwards towards Zennor and St Ives on one of the
wildest and most beautiful stretches of coast in the country.
To the west the path passes through historic mining scenery
to St. Just, Sennen and Lands End.
