Tregeare is a very secluded old farmhouse reached down a long private drive and surrounded by fields. It has 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with walk-in airing cupboard), a kitchen with an oil-fired red Rayburn, oak dresser and large pine table. The adjoining scullery has Belfast sinks & wooden draining board, large modern gas/electric range cooker, and lots of cupboards and worktop space.

The utility room provides the ideal space for dogs/wetsuits/coats etc with a large American import washing machine, tumble dryer, generous fridge and traditional walk-in larder. There are 2 resident pussycats in the yard and free-range hens which live mostly in the meadow (guests are welcome to fresh eggs when the hens feel like laying!)

There is an extensive drawing room with lots of sofa and chair space, and an open fire with logs & coal provided. There is also a spacious dining room or second sitting room leading off the kitchen.

The 6 bedrooms comprise: master x 1 double (antique French oak bed) x 1 king x 1 small antique double x 1 single x 1 single or twin x 1 bunk. There is also a double sofa bed in the room with the king bed, a nice travel cot that could be used if needed, and a couple of little mattresses that are useful if extra children appear - plenty of extra bedding etc in cupboards.

Linen is provided (ie beds are made up for you) and there are masses of towels etc in the hot cupboard, but they are not graded in sets of colour and size as they are family linen rather than aimed at visitors.

The garden is large and private and there is pretty much unlimited parking in the yard. The house is ideal for families and friends, particularly with young children, in an unspoilt rural setting.

Costs are £2,500 per week, with a discount of £100 for fortnight bookings, with a £200 returnable security deposit against damages and a firm understanding that more extensive damage must be paid for. Changeover day is Friday with bookings secured by a 50% deposit.
