Property layout & details:
The cottage is approached up a tiny unpaved lane
which ends in a stile and fields. There is parking close to the
cottage.
The front door opens into a hallway with slate
flagstones.
Sittingroom: To the left is a comfortable sitting-room
with log burner. The sash window overlooks the front of the house
with small patio area, garden wall and grassy bank beyond.
Diningroom: Sash window overlooking the rear of
the house, pine cupboard and a stone fireplace (not in use). There
is seating for six.
Kitchen: The kitchen has just been installed and
has a dishwasher and an electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave,
under counter fridge with icebox and all the usual kitchen equipment.
Utility Area: There is a lower ground floor under
the kitchen reached via the garden path and through the back door
of the cottage. It has a small conservatory (not yet renovated),
a separate toilet and a utility room which contains the boiler,
washing machine and tumble dryer, a small sink and a fridge freezer
(in addition to the fridge in the kitchen).
Upstairs:
The bathroom This is on the landing. It has a bath
with modern electric shower over it with folding glass shower
screen, pedestal hand basin and wc.
The double bedroom has a double divan bed and a
range of fitted cupboards with wardrobe space and the immersion
water heater.
The twin bedroom has a dark wood wardrobe and pair
of 3 foot divan single beds.
The single bedroom has a 3 foot divan bed, hand
painted wardrobe.
The Garden: This is quite large and slopes away
behind the house in three terraces to a stream at the bottom.
A path continues down the side of the house to a lawn with established
shrubbery, beyond this steps lead to a lower garden with two benches
and a table above the stream. A stone shed houses a barbeque and
charcoal heater.
Doggy wash: There is a hose by the house for washing
off sandy dogs (etc.).
Parking: The approach to the cottages has a pull in space with
ample parking for the cottage and there is an additional space
in front of the garage, but this requires careful positioning.
The cottage is about a 30-yard level walk from the parking area.
It is possible to unload by the garden gate, but you will have
to reverse back as the lane has no turn-around space.
