A lovely seaside cottage, which can sleep 9 comfortably, in a prime Cornish location

Torquil Cottage is a much loved and well refurbished family home which is let out as a large holiday house during certain times of the year (normally during holiday periods).

It is situated two minutes walk from Daymer Bay, on the north coast of Cornwall. Daymer Bay is a wide sandy beach (excellent for children) with calm seas and steady winds (great for wind surfers). It is between the smart resort of Rock (famous for sailing) and Polzeath (famous for surfing).

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation sleeps 9 and comprises:

5 bedrooms (2 doubles, 1 twin, 1 bunk bed and 1 single), and 2 bathrooms, all upstairs.

Downstairs there is a drawing room, "snug"/TV room with broadband, flat screen TV, dining room, and a well equipped kitchen with a 2 oven Aga, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a fridge and a freezer, as well as a fully equipped wash house, with a washing machine and dryer.

The house has been extensively refurbished, but due to its age requires careful tenants!

The cottage has a large, sheltered and landscaped garden to the rear, seen here. There are wide lawns on which to rest/run around on as well as shrubs and hedges where children can play and explore.

Outside the back door there is a building with a fully equipped washroom, loo, and beach shower (to keep sand/salt outside after a day on the beach!).

The cottage has a drive-through garage with parking on a slate forecourt for four cars, plus space in the garage.

LOCATION

Torquil Cottage is one of the original dwellings in Trebetherick with a wonderful position next to a beautiful sandy beach (150 m walk). It is a much loved family home, and has been in the same hands since it acquired its present form in 1936. It is rather a hybrid, consisting of 2 ancient cottages which were joined together, and an extension.

Daymer Lane leads directly to Daymer Bay (150 metres away), excellent for children and wind surfers. Near the top of the lane there is a well stocked shop and newsagent.
