We have a few weeks left this year for weekend breaks or mid-week breaks at discount prices and also have vacancies over the new year.

Todsworthy Farm Holidays is a newly converted characteristic barn conversion in the beautiful Tamar Valley in South East Cornwall.

We are a family business on a small working farm and want to let families see the tranquil and peaceful countryside that we live in.

Both units have three bedrooms with private parking and set in their own grounds

The farm has a small suckler herd sheep and a few indoor pigs as well as supporting a market gardening business with fresh fruit and vegetables readily available.

Pets are permitted in one of the barns and we welcome children and like to introduce them to the working side of the farm and the animals.

The farm itself and The Tamar Valley boasts country walks through idyllic countryside and has views across the valley towards Plymouth.

There are pubs and restaurants in easy reach of the farm.

The Tamar Valley

Lying between Cornwall and Devon makes the Tamar Valley the ideal base for exploring the Westcountry. There are many attractions to visit and explore nearby including;

  • Cotehele House and Quay - run by the National Trust.
  • Morwellham Quay - which has brought back to life its Victorian past as a post exporting minerals to the world.
  • Kit Hill Country Park - the second highest point in Cornwall, has spectacular all round views.
  • Dartmoor National Park - famous for its rugged scenery and majestic tors.
  • St. Mellion Golf Club - famous as the course that Jack Nicklaus designed.
  • The Tamar Valley Discovery Trail - a long distance route of some 30 miles in total, linking Plymouth with Launceston.
  • Tamar Valley Railway Line - one of the most scenic railway journeys in the South West. Other local walks include Danescombe Valley, Kit Hill Country Park and Cadsonbury Hill Fort.
  • The Cheesewring, Stowes Pound and mining heritage at Minions on Bodmin Moor.

Nearby are the historic market towns of Launceston and Callington in Cornwall and Tavistock in Devon. The City of Plymouth has a wide choice of shops and theatres as well as the renowned National Marine Aquarium, Hoe and Barbican areas. The Eden Project - St. Austell, Tate at St. Ives and Land's End are all within a 2 hour drive of the Tamar Valley.
