Beautiful, quiet canal side location

Bude is perfect for a relaxing break or family holiday. The nearby Summerleaze and Crocklets beaches are popular with families and surfers. They offer long stretches of sand and there are plenty of rock pools to explore.

The town centre has many independently owned gift and clothes shops as well as 3 supermarkets. Bude has an excellent golf course, tennis courts, and many other outdoor pursuits and facilities.

There is also an indoor swimming pool, bowling alley and large indoor children's ball park in Bude.

You can take a stroll down the tow path or experience the canal on the water using our rowing boat or by hiring a boat. Once you arrive at The Old Laundry the central location means there is little need to take the car anywhere if you don't want to, however, North Cornwall and Devon have some wonderful places to visit for those wanting to explore further afield.

Changeover During busy periods changeover day is Sunday; however, this can be negotiated during low season.

Weekend or Midweek Rental Weekend or midweek rental is possible during low season; however, we do ask that you stay for a minimum of 3 nights. The cost is pro rata plus a £60.00 service charge.

Out and About Bude is also ideally located for those who want to venture further a field. Just a few miles south are the Historic Harbour villages of Boscastle and Tintagel (with its legends of King Arthur).

Go North into Devon and you will find unspoilt and rugged coastline with beautiful villages such as Clovelly. For walkers there are many coastal walks as well as Bodmin and Dartmoor.

For those seeking a culinary treat why not head to Padstow, home to TV Chef Rick Stein's now famous fish restaurant (book early) and for those seeking a special day out there are boat and helicopter trips to Lundy Island.

Tourist Information Bude has a large tourist Information office which can be found on the other side of the canal and short walk from Stapletons. It is stocked with all the information you might need for places to see and things to do.
