Port Isaac is
in an ideal position from where to explore the stunning North Cornwall
coastline and there are many beautiful places to see just on the doorstep.
It is also well placed for some excellent sporting pursuits such as surfing
at Polzeath (the surf shop can arrange lessons) and sea kayaking at Port
Quin.
As a working fishing village, there is plenty of opportunity
to sample the local delights and lobster and crabs are landed daily. Amenities
include the local pub (The Golden Lion), 10 metres from your gate, the
delicatessen, just below!, the Post Office (papers, etc) 80 metres. 'The
Gallery' (where the pictures on the wall of the flat were painted) 50
metres. Then there's the beach, which is just round the corner and under
a minutes stroll! There is also The Old School Hotel and Restaurant next
to the Post Office, The Mote Restaurant, The Harbour Cafe/Restaurant,
The Slipway Hotel & Restaurant and The Old Pharmacy Fish & Chip
Shop. At the top of the village there's The Edge Restaurant & Wine
Bar and The Shipwrights Pub.
Parking is notoriously difficult in the village but there
is a unloading bay at the bottom of the flat and you can park in the NCDC
Car Park at the top of the village for £22 per week which gives
access to all NCDC car parks. Alternatively you can park on the beach
(low-tide only!).
