A tastefully converted contemporary-styled
barn, which sleeps 4, in a well-connected location between Padstow and Newquay,
within easy walking distance of a quiet beach. ACCOMMODATION
The perfect place to unwind, Skiber An Hyli has all you need
for a relaxing break. A welcoming and peaceful hideaway, the barn consists
of a spacious lounge and dining area, with flatscreen TV, DVD player and
Sky Freeview, radio and CD player, and two comfortable sofas. The fully
fitted contemporary kitchen has an electric oven, ceramic hob with hood,
combination microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and
all utensils. There is also a spacious downstairs cloakroom and underfloor
heating throughout.
Upstairs,
the attractively beamed landing leads to two light and airy bedrooms - one double
and one with two single beds - plus a high-spec bathroom with full-size bath and
drench shower. Outside, a southerly-facing patio covered by an
ornamental roof, leads onto an enclosed pebbled cottage garden with BBQ and seating.
There is also private parking for two cars next to the barn. Skiber
An Hyli is very easy to get to, being close to links with the A39 and A30. To
ease you in to your getaway, a complimentary welcome tray will greet you on your
arrival. LOCATION The barn is well located for
the seven surfing bays of St Merryn and the North Cornwall coastpath, including
the Camel Trail. Jamie Oliver's 15 and Rick Stein's restaurants are within easy
reach, as are the golf courses of Mawgan Porth, Treyarnon Bay, Trevose and Merlin.
St Merryn is two miles distance with excellent restaurants
plus a very good fish and chip restaurant/takeaway. There are also a number
of lovely pub restaurants within easy reach, notably The Falcon at St
Mawgan and The Pickwick at Bourgois.
The barn is in easy
travelling distance of the cathedral city of Truro, the Eden Project, the Lost
Gardens of Heligan and the Minack Theatre. The Tate and Hepworth galleries are
well worth a visit. In addition, there are many National Trust houses and gardens
in the area. Nearby Padstow has cycles for hire on the beautiful
Camel Trail and runs regular ferries across the estuary to the delightful village
of Rock. For the energetic, there is a whole host of activities to be enjoyed
- from horse riding to fishing to kite surfing. |
