The open plan interior is filled with the St Ives light. It has a double aspect position and high vaulted ceiling. The cottage is located in the downlong area, an old conservation part of central St Ives. Where once pilchards were stored, now becomes a useful garage for the car. Art studios and galleries surround it whilst Porthmeor beach is a few paces away, so you can sleep to the sound of the sea. The integral remote controlled garage is very unusual in this central conservation area next to Porthmeor beach.
There are all the mod cons you need whilst on holiday; a dishwasher, washer/dryer, tv,dvd player etc. The living room has a fully sprung sofa bed and additional small sofa. There is a dining area with seating for 4. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the spacious bathroom has a full size bath with powerful Mira shower. There is a Mezzanine bedroom with King Size bed, which can be converted to 2 small singles.

On entering 1 Lower Saltings you are immediately struck by the outstanding view over Porthmeor beach. Unusually the whole length of the open plan room follows the line of the beach, providing uninterrupted views from every angle. Porthmeor is famous for its beautiful sunsets and the large window seat is the perfect spot for catching the final few rays. The apartment is situated in the conservation part of St Ives. Walk down the slipway to the beach then through the double wooden doors into the courtyard, to one side is the rare advantage of a private parking space. Go through the stable door and into that perfect view.
Furnishings are warm and welcoming, underfoot is a real slate floor.
New Kitchen for 2011, with Neff and Bosch appliances. The kitchen contains all the mod cons you may need during your holiday, whilst central heating and thick granite walls keep it warm and toasty throughout the year. Fantastic to watch the stormy seas snuggled up inside. |
