There has been a farm or dwelling, at Pennance Vean for over 400 years, tucked down in a fold to shelter it from the elements, yet enjoying stunning views down to St Ives Bay and Godrevy Lighthouse (inspiration for Virginia Woolf’s novel “To the Lighthouse”.) This little corner of Cornwall has golden sands that stretch for three sweeping miles, spectacular world-class surf and unique sand dunes that form a continuous nature reserve. Today, Pennance Vean continues as a working farm situated on 20 acres, with a farmhouse and single holiday let converted from a granite barn and providing accommodation for up to six guests. Pennance Vean Farm is the perfect location to relax, explore, walk, watch the seals at Godrevy or just look and listen to the skylarks in summer, migrating birds in spring or the sound of the ocean breaking on the rocks in winter. And then there are the spectacular sunsets and clear light that has drawn artists to Cornwall for years. |
