Chun Quoit
The Manse is ideally situated to explore the area, with coastal paths and moorland walks. The Penwith Moors surrounding Pendeen hold many ancient sites from hill forts to ancient burials site such as Chun Quoit.
Pathways string out across the moors often arriving at
abandoned mines, the walking here inland can be as dramatic as the Coastal
Path.
Geevor Tin Mine Museum is approx. 100yards form The Manse, or you could walk along the coastal path to Levant Mine and Beam Engine and then continue on to Botallack with its pump houses clinging to the cliff above the roaring Atlantic.
Within a few miles of here are Penzance, Mousehole, St Michael's Mount, Cape Cornwall and St Ives. For something a little different visit the gardens at Trengwainton, Trereife and Morab.
