The Old Manse is a traditional granite built house dating to about 1870. It is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, set back from the B3306 Lands End to St Ives road, between the villages of Trewellard and Pendeen. Within walking distance of The Old Manse are three pubs and a restaurant, both the North Inn and Trewellard Arms serve good quality food and The Meadery has generous portions served in a friendly atmosphere.

The Manse is ideally situated to explore the area, with coastal paths and moorland walks. The Penwith Moors surrounding Pendeen hold many ancient sites from hill forts to ancient burials site such as Chun Quoit.

Pathways string out across the moors often arriving at abandoned mines, the walking here inland can be as dramatic as the Coastal Path.

Geevor Tin Mine Museum is approx. 100yards form The Manse, or you could walk along the coastal path to Levant Mine and Beam Engine and then continue on to Botallack with its pump houses clinging to the cliff above the roaring Atlantic.

Within a few miles of here are Penzance, Mousehole, St Michael's Mount, Cape Cornwall and St Ives. For something a little different visit the gardens at Trengwainton, Trereife and Morab.

Accommodation

We have three guest bedrooms; two have double beds one with en-suite shower the other a private bathroom, beverage making facilities, hair dryer and TV.

The third room has twin beds with en-suite shower room with all the facilities.

The guest lounge/breakfast room is situated off the entrance hall with comfortable chairs, a granite fireplace and plenty of reading material especially about the locality.

We regret that we do not accommodate children under 10 or pets and we operate a no smoking policy.
