Notter Mill is situated on the banks of the River Lyhner, a designated area of outstanding beauty. The park holds a David Bellamy Gold award for conservation and has accommodation that is rated 4 stars by Visit-Britain.

At Notter Mill you will be spoilt by your immediate secluded surroundings. It is a place where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of Cornwall's desirable countryside and is ideal for families, friends and couples to relax and unwind.

You have easy access to the whole of the south west and its treasures. The fishing villages of Looe and Polperro are but a stone's throw away. Also nearby is the historical city of Plymouth offering a wide variety of tourist attractions. Amongst them the National Aquarium, river cruises from the famed mayflower steps going up the river Tamar and the Barbican which is a popular eating and nightlife destination.

St Mellion golf and leisure complex is just around the corner, which this year and the foreseeable future is hosting the English open in August. They have a wide range of leisure facilities including swimming pool, gym and an 18 hole golf course.

Accommodation

We have a range of accommodation to suit all. They comprise of 2/3 bedroom bungalows which sleep up to 8 persons.

Standard: Fully equipped galley kitchen, 2 or 3 spacious bedrooms, duvets and linen (beds made up for arrival), lounge/dining room with colour TV and freeview, an open fire and night storage heaters.

Most have separate toilet with shower or bath with overhead shower.

Four star*: Rated by visit Britain/enjoy England, in addition to the standard accommodation, these bungalows have a higher standard of furnishings and equipment such as DVD player, freezer and CD player. Towels are available for a small additional charge. * rated as 3 star if sofa bed is used

*New for April 2009: One four star bungalow with hot tub and dishwasher.*

* 2 Bed Bungalow:

Sleeps 4+2 (one double, a twin and a sofa bed in lounge)
Sleeps 5+2 (one double, a single plus bunks, sofa bed in lounge)

3 Bed Bungalow:

Sleeps 6-8 (one double, a twin, a separate room with bunks and a sofa bed in lounge)

Wheelchair accessible:

These have been adapted for wheelchair users in groups which include able bodied people. These have a wet room with shower chair. In the bungalow wheelchair access is to the kitchen, living/dining area, double bedroom and bathroom. Outside, parking areas are provided adjacent to the entrance with ramped access to the bungalow. The patio is also accessible. The park is virtually level, so suitable for wheelchair users. Please feel free to telephone and discuss your requirements with us.

Well behaved pets (max 2) are welcome at Notter Mill in some of our bungalows provided our pets guide is followed. We also have pet free bungalows.

On-site Facilities

Guest can enjoy a range of pursuits on the park including swimming in our heated outdoor swimming pool (mid may to mid September), football, outdoor tennis, badminton and also a children's playground. You may also fish for trout and salmon in the river Lyhner itself (Rod licence required). The spacious environment of the park allows children's to play whilst you relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the valley or take a walk in the beautiful conservation area.

Each Bungalow is equipped with a small BBQ.

The park has an information centre with everything you need to know about Cornwall's and Devon's attractions. There is also a coin-operated laundrette onsite.

The Notter Bridge Inn (400 yards from the park) offers a selection of fine ales and food by the riverside. There are many other similar establishments within the area.

St Mellion golf course, China fleet county club, Eden project, national Marine Aquarium, sandy beaches, Dartmoor national park, Looe and Polperro, Tavistock historical town, Bodmin Moor, coarse fishing and many more activites.
