Peninsular above the famous fishing village and surfing beach of Sennen
Cove. This traditional and historic thatched Cornish "longhouse"

The house is furnished to a very high standard

Sennen Cove, The Land's End Peninsula,
Penzance and St. Ives
Sennen on the western tip of the Cornish peninsula
is a popular surfing area, famous for its quite tranquil beaches and stunning
cliff-top scenery and coastal. There are many glorious sandy beaches and
rocky coves with crystal clear water; rugged cliffs; heather moorlands;
wooded valleys and green fields. Within a 10 mile radius there are many
picturesque coves and fishing villages; such as Cape Cornwall, Porthcurno,
Lamorna, Newlyn and Mousehole. Of the many local attractions, those nearest
include; Land's End, Minack Theatre, St. Michael's Mount, St. Ives Tate
Gallery and Paradise Park bird sanctuary. The area is also noted for its
wealth of ancient monuments including stone circles, chamber tombs and
standing stones.
Penzance town is a few miles to the
east, where you can board boat, or helicopter, to the beautiful Isles
of Scilly (or travel there from nearby Land's End airfield on the local
Skybus aircraft). Just outside Penzance is the stunning St. Michael's
Mount. Clearly visible from the main A30 road as you enter the Penzance
area, the Mount can be reached by boat when the tide is in, or, if the
tide is out, by walking across the causeway from the village of Marazion.
A few miles to the north, you will find St.
Ives; an unspoilt, small harbour town with cobbled streets and beautiful
views and Mediterranean atmosphere (making it a focal point for artists).
It is home to the Tate Gallery, Hepworth Museum and Leach Pottery. It
has many excellent beaches: Porthmeor, Porthminster, Carbis Bay and Porth
Kidney Sands. Dolphins often swim in the bay and seals even come into
the harbour!
