AccommodationThere
are 4 twin bedrooms and two bathrooms one of which has a power shower as
well as a bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric
cooker (with a ceramic hob), fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.
Crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots & pans and other cooking utensils are also provided.
A high chair is available but no cot. The living room
has three sofas, one arm chair and digital TV with a DVD player. At one end is
the eight seater dining room table overlooking Mother Ivey Bay. Leading
out of the kitchen there is a conservatory which opens into the enclosed
back garden, this in turn leads to the large garden at the side and front
of the property. There is a bar-b-q area in the back garden. The owners, by agreement,
permit the occasional tent for extra guests. One dog is permitted,
again by agreement with the owners, but it is expected that the dog will not be
allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture. The kitchen and the conservatory
are large with ample space for a dog bed. Mother Ivey Cottage,
the garden and beach were recently used as some of the main locations for filming
Rosamund Pilcher's "Four Seasons". Tom Conti, Michael Yorke, Frank Findley and
Senta Berger were all on location here. LocationMother
Ivey Cottage is located on the North Coast of Cornwall between Padstow and Newquay
overlooking Mother Ivey Bay and Trevose Head. The cliff top is in the garden and
only 25 yards from the front door, below are two sandy beaches. |
