Marigold
cottage is a traditional Cornish cottage 70 yards from Gorran Haven
beach. It sleeps 5 and all the bedrooms have sea views. There is
a sunny slate lined courtyard with barbeque and outdoor furniture.
Marigold Cottage is at the top of Church Street in Gorran Haven.
It was originally two 18th century cottages, one hung with local
slate, the other round ended, in white stucco, combined they make
a comfortable living space.
The main beach, (plus shops & restaurant) is at the
bottom of the hill, about 70 yards. The pub (with large garden)
is further up the hill and around the corner about 3 minutes walk.
The path to Gorran Haven's second - more secluded beach, 'Little
Perhaver' runs alongside Marigold and is a pleasant retreat.
The Cottage:
Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a double, a single
(with en suite wc) and a twin all with sea views over cottage rooftops.
Downstairs, there is cosy reception room with open fireplace, TV
& DVD player; bathroom with shower over bath and a spacious kitchen
dining room.
The kitchen has microwave, electric cooker, under
counter fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and is
fully equipped.
There is a larder freezer in the garage. There are
night storage heaters and halogen heaters are available if needed.
Linen and towels are provided and electricity is included.

Hillside Cottage
Sleeps 6 - £300 to £850 pw Gorran
Haven
'Hillside' is a comfortable 3 bedroom,
Victorian semi-detached house in Gorran Haven, a former fishing
village that retains much of the charm and character of its fishing
and boat-building heyday and has a fine family beach and small harbour.
The house is 80 yards from the beach
on a quiet lane adjoining National Trust Land. The coastal path,
through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, begins just down
the lane 30 yards from the front door.
The house is available for whole weeks,
short breaks and weekends from September to Easter and it is a lovely
retreat for romantic breaks and a comfortable base for coastal walkers
and garden visitors. We can suggest good local restaurants or arrange
your choice of food and wine to await you when you arrive. We can
also arrange a taxi to and from St Austell station or Newquay Airport.
If you would like to walk all day we can arrange for you to be brought
back again or taken to your next starting point.
The House can sleep up to 6 people and
has a pleasant secure garden with a view of the sea and coastline.
It has a many original features, (slate floors, sash windows, original
bath etc) but is newly furnished, decorated and equipped. Heating
& comforts: Electric oil filled radiators and electric blankets
are there if needed, but the Aga keeps things cosy. The Log Burning
stove in the sitting room is ideal for snug days and evenings in.
There is SKY TV, video & DVD, radio & CD player; also books,
board games & toy box for younger ones.
Towels, linen and beach towels are supplied
and heating costs are inclusive. There is a baby gate fitted, also
cot with baby linen, high chair & childrens cups, plates
etc. In the enclosed garden there is a covered sand pit and shed
containing various outdoor toys, body boards, buckets & spades
etc.
The Area: 'Hillside' is on Foxhole Lane,
which is the edge of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty owned
by the National Trust that stretches west to Dodman Point (Iron
Age fort) and beyond.
The South Coast Path, takes you, through
a lovely sea/landscape of cliff and heath, to secluded beaches at
Vault and Hemmick. Inland, there are quiet woodland walks. The Lost
Gardens of Heligan are 5 miles away and the Eden Project is 14 miles.
The area is very good for bird and wildlife enthusiasts and a happy
spot for family holidays.

Harbour Hill

A
comfortable modern bungalow 100 yards from the beach. It sleeps
up to 6 in one double, one twin and a single (with 2nd pullout bed).
Deck in 60'x45' garden
The property has sea views from the
kitchen and main bedroom and also from it's large sunny, lawned
garden, which also has deck, garden furniture, BBQ etc.
There is parking for 2 cars outside
the house. The house is newly decorated and furnished to a high
standard and has wood flooring throughout except in bedrooms where
there is cream fitted carpet. The oil fired boiler supplies central
heating and constant hot water.
Accommodation:
Entrance lobby opening to cloakroom with wc & basin and large sittingroom
with leather sofas, 28" TV, DVD, fireplace and French doors to garden;
there is a dining area with dining table and chairs for 8. Adjacent
to this is a well equipped and attractive open plan kitchen (microwave,
electric hob and oven. under counter larder fridge, radio etc).
Nb. in garage there is washing machine, tumble dryer and larder
freezer, for use by guests.
Opening from the sitting room there
is an inner hallway leading to bathroom (bath with shower, wc, basin);
main bedroom with double bed; twin bedroom (3' beds) and single
bedroom (3' bed with 2nd pull out bed under). Each bedroom has a
large built in wardrobe and plenty of drawer space.
Harbour Hill is at the end of a short
private driveway off Foxhole Lane, the quiet hill that leads down
to the beach on the south side of the village. The lane borders
the National Trust land nature reserve
around Dodman Point and the South Coastal path is a short walk from
the front door, leading to lovely cliff walks and two further, more
secluded beaches at Vault and Hemmick.
This is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Sea Witch

Chute Lane, Gorran Haven
Sea Witch is a neat well planned new house. All the
living and sleeping rooms have a sea view. The king and double bedrooms
have en suite shower rooms, the twin has a family bathroom nextdoor.

It is a split level house with the living area upstairs,
taking advantage of the superb view of the sea. The twin room has
French doors opening to the secure pebbled courtyard with deck,
where there is outdoor dining furniture and BBQ.
Sea Witch is above Little Perhaver beach, set back
about 400 yards it is in front of the former Coastguard cottages,
up a short private driveway just off Chute lane, 200 yards after
the Llawnroc pub, with large garden. Gorran Haven beach and shops
are 5 minutes walk.

Is the garden apartment of a large, south facing,
clifftop house, with beautiful sea views. The property is relatively
secluded on the eastern (Heligan side) edge of Mevagissey. The owners
are discreet and tolerant and occupy the main house with their own
garden area separate from the apartment which has it's own entrance
and is not accessible from the house.

The pillared supports of the terrace in front of
the apartment, frame a lovely view of Chapel Point & the sea beyond.
There is Garden furniture for dining and two sunbeds. From a corner
of the garden, there is (gated) access to the coastal path and Polstreath
beach below (down steep steps). Separate from Mevagissey, but still
convenient for the shops and restaurants.

Treverrion
Sleeps 7 Perhaver Park, Gorran Haven
Trevarrion is a good sized 4 bedroomed house with
an enclosed, south facing garden at the back of the house, with
lovely sea views. The beach and village are about 8 minutes walk.
The house has lots of space and a lovely aspect, overlooking the
sea (with binoculars you might see the seal family who live on the
Gwineas rocks).

The house is comfortable and unfussily furnished,
rather late 1970's in feel. It is on Perhaver Park - the small estate
of south facing houses above the older village - on a quiet road
with pleasant, well established gardens all along it.
There is parking for two cars on the driveway in
front of the house. Great for families and one dog is welcome (*subject
to size & hairyness!).
