Cornish Barn Holidays offer quality self catering holiday accommodation in converted traditional barns located at or very near Higher Grenna Farm, near Truro, Cornwall. All three have been beautifully converted from traditional buildings into comfortable holiday accommodation.

Secluded yet accessible, Higher Grenna Farm is peacefully situated just outside the village of Perranwell, between Truro and Falmouth. We are just a short walk away from the Truro-Falmouth branch line, so it is possible to leave the car behind and let the train take you to the seaside at Falmouth or the Cathedral City of Truro.

The Accommodation

The Home Barn..
is a two storey barn conversion that we converted from the original cow shed and hay loft beside the main farm house, has many original features and comfortable accommodation with a large sunny balcony and garden, close to the orchard with ducks and chickens.

The Granary Barn ..
was completed early in 2008 and was originally the grain store, it is a few fields away from our main farm house and is single story, so perfect for those with limited mobility.

Approached along its own private drive, The Granary is positioned overlooking our fields and to the valley beyond, so offers total privacy at all times.

We have designed this conversion with a more contemporary style. It has a very spacious open plan layout, with large sitting room dining area with patio doors to the terrace at the front and an adjoining modern kitchen and solid oak floors and doors throughout. There are very comfy sofas and chairs, modern oak furniture, a feature flat screen fireplace and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need.

The Snug..
Located just a short distance from the farm, The Snug is set in the grounds of Lymington Cottage up a lane in the country side between Truro and Falmouth, with extensive private gardens, beautiful trees, flowers and shrubs. There is a river walk, a wild flower meadow and an orchard, all of which you are welcome to enjoy. The Snug is close to the coast to coast cycle path which passes nearby and close to Devoran (good food pub, bus stops, creek, quay and excellent bird watching) with bicycles to hire near by.

Partly 18th century, this lovely old character barn has been renovated and comfortably furnished. The kitchen and bathroom are on the same level, then three steps up lead you to the large and very spacious lounge with a high open beamed ceiling and comfortable co-coordinated furnishings. An attractive living flame gas fire (looks like a wood-burning stove) and many books, maps and items of interest, make this a cosy and peaceful spot for a holiday at any time of the year. There is a pretty bedroom which leads off the lounge.

There is sofabed in the lounge to allow for more versatile accommodation for travelling companions. Both the lounge and bedroom have views across the gardens and paddock. Due to the river walk and extensive gardens, young children should be supervised. The river can be fast flowing and the pond is unprotected.

Outside

All have ample parkingclose to the properties and for the wild life lovers, something for everyone..birds bats owls and much more..

The location is perfect for exploring Cornwall as it is so central, both north and south coasts are easily accessible, as are Lands End, The Lizard and the moors to the east.

All three cottages are very close to the Coast to Coast Cycle Path with cycle hire nearby.
