ETC 4 star grading
A real "get-away-from-it-all" holiday.
With stunning unspoilt country views, in the countryside between Truro
and Falmouth
Sleeps 2 plus cot
Pets by arrangement.
Tastefully converted from the original cattle barn and hayloft,
the barn is next to the main farmhouse, on our quiet smallholding, which
is tucked away down half a mile of country lanes, strewn with wild flowers
in the spring.
This cottage is perfect for those wanting escape from the
"rat race" and relax there is a large garden with picnic table reclining
chairs and a barbeque and a sunny balcony that catches the sun all day,
all totally private and very peaceful.
We are a short walk from the Truro - Falmouth branch line,
so it is possible to leave the car and let the train take the strain .
Accommodation
Inside:
on entering through the stable door, there is the entrance hall with
storage cupboard, then a pretty double bedroom with king-size bed, a well
fitted and equipped kitchen and modern bathroom with under floor heating,
upstairs is the sitting room with its high beamed ceilings and French
doors that lead out to the balcony and from there on to the lawn. All
have been carefully and tastefully presented to enhance the country feel
of the property, including masses of local information, books, maps and
items of interest.
Outside: there is easy parking, a separate laundry
room with washing machines and dryers, and a shed for bike storage. There
is even a stable if you want to bring your horse!
The orchard close to The Barn has a small duck pond with
our white Aylesbury ducks and a variety of friendly hens who lay the most
fantastic brown eggs. In the field by the balcony the family horse comes
down to the gate for a drink and a chat
. For wild life lovers there is something for everybody,
birds, bats, owls and much much more, all are encouraged to live here
with us.
The location is perfect for exploring Cornwall as it is
so central. Both North and South Coasts are easily accessible, as are
Lands End and the moors in the East of Cornwall.
