Highcliffe cottages are ideally located for most types of holiday whether you choose to explore the Cornish coast and countryside on foot or by car.

The area has a variety of activities for the more energetic, everything from cycling to diving, sailing to golf, something for everyone whatever their age.

Cornwall is well known for its legendary connections with King Arthur and Merlin at Tintagel, which is just a short drive away. It is also well known for its celebration of local folk customs such as the Padstow "Obby Oss", an ancient custom to welcome in the first day of spring. The Helston Flora dance is another well-known local event, there are numerous events that take place through the year.

The rugged cliffs and stunning scenery around Trebetherick and Rock have been the inspiration to many famous people including Sir John Betjeman who was poet laureate to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. It was his request to be buried at his beloved church St. Ennodoc just a pleasant walk away from Trebetherick

A visit to Cornwall would not be complete without visiting the many Cornish Heritage sites and Historic Houses many of which are within easy reach of Highcliffe Cottages.

Highcliffe, a new, architecturally-designed complex, is set to take holiday homes into the 21st Century. With its combination of good design, modern interiors and one of the most spectacular coastal sights in north Cornwall.

Highcliffe is the ideal place for a stress-free family holiday. Highcliffe has 24, purpose-built holiday homes with rural views amongst four acres of communal grounds, which include wild flower areas and more formal planted beds. There are also two tennis courts and a dinghy park for boats and trailers.

The homes, which are nominated for a top architectural award, have been given a light and fresh Mediterranean feel with wooden and tiled floors and modern furniture. And because they are purpose -built they have all the necessary high-tech appliances needed to make a holiday hassle-free. The homes are centrally heated, have open fires and wood-burners and sleep up to 7, with an extra box room for a baby's cot. Each has a wet/laundry room for wetsuits and water sports equipment along with a handy outside shower for surfers.

Cornwall's mild temperatures in the Spring, Autumn and Winter is one reason that visitors who enjoy water sports including surfing come to Trebetherick. The stunning scenery along the coastal path and winding lanes assumes a jacket of floral colour in the spring and autumn, the area has a charm and relaxing feel that should be experienced and there is no better time for a getaway break.

The roads are relatively traffic free during school term time, it is only 4hours from London and the Midlands and only 2 hours from Bristol, ideal for an impromptu break.

We welcome pets by arrangement in some of our accommodation please ask when making your enquiry.

It is situated on the north coast within five minutes walk of Cornwall's best beaches: Daymer Bay, Polzeath and Greenaway. Daymer has a reputation as a safe child-friendly beach and was named as one top travel export's favourite beach in the world in a recent Sunday Times survey.

Polzeath is famous as a surfers' paradise and Greenaway is a secluded bay, which was a favourite of Princess Diana when she was alive and is still visited regularly by her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry when they stay close- by.

Both Polzeath, and Greenaway can be reached by walking along the cliff path linked to the Highcliffe complex so you do not have to reach for the car keys at all during the holiday.

In fact Highcliffe is perfectly placed to keep the whole family happy. Rock is only two miles away so sailing and golf (at the famous St Enodoc course), as well as walking, windsurfing, and surfing, are all within easy reach.

The water taxi at Rock can whip you over to Rick Stein's well-known Seafood Restaurant in Padstow in minutes.

Individual week prices can be found on the Availability page on our website.
