King Doniert's StoneSt Cleer, Liskeard, Cornwall Access - Any reasonable time. (This site is managed by the Cornwall Heritage Trust.) Location - 1m NW of St Cleer off B3254 (OS Map 201) Map Ref SX 236688 Two granite stones carved with latin inscriptions and intricate patterns. The stones can be found in a small signposted enclosure on the B3254 road that runs from Minnions to Dobwalls, near the edge of Bodmin Moor. The site is easily accessible, with a small layby adjacent
to the enclosure. The stones are the remains of crosses, and are associated with
King Doniert (Durngarth) of Cornwall who drowned in AD 875 in the river Fowey. | |||
