sleeps 4 people

Rose Cottage, Glen House is a charming 200-year-old traditional fisherman’s cottage. It is situated on the Strand at Trebarwith, near Tintagel on the beautiful coast of North Cornwall. The Trebarwith beach and the popular Port William Inn are less than 500 metres away, and the award-winning Millhouse restaurant is just 600 metres away from the Cottage.

Location

Trebarwith Strand is an attractive tourist destination with a surfing beach. Breathtaking views from the coastal path, which runs along the cliff top in both directions.

The Strand is served by a popular cafe which serves delicious snacks, and a surf shop where equipment and lessons to bodyboard or surf can be booked and hired. There is also an art store and souvenir shop.

Trebarwith is well placed for visits to the surfing beach of Polzeath, rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor as well as other attractive destinations of Bude, Crackington Haven, Port Isaac and Clovelly (North Devon).

The Eden Project at St Austell is just a 45 minute drive away, as is the popular town of Newquay. Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall restaurant is located at Watergate Bay, just outside of Newquay. The attractive port town of Padstow, with its famous Rick Stein restaurants, is less than 30 minutes drive.

Wadebridge is the nearest large town with banks and supermarkets, located 15-20 minutes drive away. But the tourist destination village of Tintagel, located just three miles away, has a post office, local shops and restaurants.

BedroomBedroom one: The master bedroom is a generous size with exposed beams, wooden floorboards and a large window to the front of the cottage, giving a light and airy feel.
A comfortable link bed, gives the versatility of a super king or large twin beds. There is a wooden set of matching furniture, comprising a dressing table, twin bedside tables with drawers and a double wardrobe.

Bedroom two: With a sea view, the second bedroom is a very pretty room to stay in. A large iron double bed, with a green three-piece matching wicker drawer set and dressing table. Wooden floors.

BathroomBathroom: The family bathroom is also wooden floored and has a luxurious double ended, free-standing bath with chrome tap and shower mixer. The bath is directly underneath a large wooden window, which can be opened to give a superb view of the glen and valley. The bathroom also has a separate power shower, hand basin and toilet.

Separate toilet: Toilet and hand basin.

Outside balcony: This fantastic addition allows guests a wonderful open air view of the garden stream, glen and sea. Banisters have been built to a safe height which allows children to use the area, and a locking gate means the balcony is very secure for the whole family.
The matching wooden tables and chairs also make the balcony area a great place for alfresco dining with a spectacular view.

The stairs from the balcony lead down to the garden, stream and the optional hot-tub and wooden cabin summerhouse.

GardenGarden area : With views out to the Glen and a wooden garden bench by the stream, the Rose Cottage garden is a peaceful place to sit and idle the hours away.

The garden is laid mainly to lawn, and mature trees provide a shaded area with a large table and chairs. There is a barbeque in the lower garden area for those lazy summer afternoons.

The lower garden also has additional access via a sloped grassy bank around to the front of the cottage.

Hot tub and Summerhouse: Another recent addition to Rose Cottage is the optional hot tub and high-quality Norwegian wooden Summerhouse. The hot tub has a twin-setting whirlpool and interior lighting and seats up to six people. It has a leather cover to ensure that when it is not in use, no bugs can get in and no heat can get out. The views from the tub are of the glen and valley and in the evening, the moon and the stars! The wooden cabin Summerhouse is situated next door to the hot-tub. It has been decorated to a high standard, and houses a double sofa bed, rocking chair and wicker drawer cabinet. It is curtained, meaning it can be used as a dressing area for the hot tub, but the sofa bed brings the potential to house a further two guests. The cabin and Hot tub are secured by locks.
Both the Hot tub and Summerhouse are surrounded by a matching wooden decking area.
