ROSELAND PENINSULA

Veryan is renowned for its picturesque Roundhouses, built by a missionary for his daughters.

Carne Beacon, a Bronze Age Barrow and the burial place of a 6th century Chieftain, lies just a mile away. Veryan Castle, nearby and now a mound was in fact a small Iron Age Fort.

Portloe and Portscatho, both pretty fishing villages famous for their pilchard fishing and still small fishing ports and Park Broom famous for its Camomile Lawn are only a stone's throw away.

The roseland peninsula

The unspoilt Roseland Peninsula with its beautiful, undulating coastline, framed by the coastal path for those with a love of walking and its sheltered coves and beaches continues all the way around to The Carrick Roads and across the Fal onto Falmouth.

Walking, fishing, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, horse riding all within close reach and for a change of scene: busy shopping, markets, bars, restaurants, theatres and cinema, just 20 minutes by car to Truro.
