Berry Park is a splendid Victorian Country house, full of character and set in six acres of attractive gardens and fields in the beautiful Devon countryside right next to the Cornwall border. It is close to the sea, in the unspoiled rural hamlet of Welcombe. The house has been skilfully converted into apartments of various sizes. All have been carefully modernised to provide every comfort, whilst retaining the original Victorian features giving them style and character. There are also two cottages adjoining the main house, these date back to the 16th century. Our holiday homes are very well equipped and comfortably furnished and we are confident that you will be impressed by the quality of our accommodation and facilities which, we strive to ensure, always meet our personal exacting standards. Most of the accommodation is centrally heated (usually included in the price). We are open all year except for Christmas and New Year and offer off-season breaks in the early and late season, for full details of availability and tariff why not visit our web site. What's to do and see in the area? There are many excellent beaches nearby. Welcombe Mouth Beach is within walking distance (20 min.) or is accessible by car (0.75 mile). It has a waterfall, rock pools and lots of sand at low tide. Washed by the Atlantic twice a day, it is a very clean beach. Berry Park is well worth a visit at anytime of year, but is especially nice in the mild temperatures of spring and autumn, when the children are still in school, the roads are relatively quiet and access around Devon and Cornwall is easy. You can enjoy the spectacular scenery around Welcombe that makes it the perfect venue for those who enjoy coast and country walks. Berry Park borders the Marsland Valley which is a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) and an officially designated area of outstanding natural beauty. It is home to much rare wildlife including red deer, otters and buzzards. Numerous wild flowers abound, especially in the springtime when bluebells carpet the woods and it becomes hard to believe that orchids are rare. In autumn the area produces a rich variety of mushrooms and toadstools. The village of Welcombe has a pub and a village shop. The Accommodation Primrose Cottage (Sleeps
