An outstanding part of Cornwall where time runs slowly

 

Beach ViewsBeach View Holiday Bungalows and Luxury Holiday Homes are situated in a magnificent position and have uninterrupted and breathtaking views over Porth Joke, a sandy cove, which is just a short walk across Cubert Common. Owned by the National Trust, Cubert Common has been classified in nature convervation terms as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and of Special Scientific Interest (SSI). A great deal of wildlife can be seen, as well as some very rare plants.

The Common consists of approximately 600 acres of completely unspoiled countryside, undulating grassland with small pockets of sand dunes which extend out to Kelsey Head, from which one can survey some of the most dramatic scenery on Cornwall's North Coast. Porth Joke Cove is situated between Crantock Beach and Holywell Bay, and it is a beautiful and secluded location with bathing and surfing. There are inland fresh water lakes and rivers for fishing.

All our holiday properties are comfortably furnished and fully equipped and include colour TV, fridge freezer, gas cooker, microwave, iron and ironing board, Hoover and electric heater. Most of the hot water is heated by gas. There are duvets on all beds and all bed linen is supplied (excluding cots). Cots and high chairs are available on request.

Gas and electricity are now included in the cost. Pet's by arrangement at an extra cost.

  • Penmarric - Maximum of 3 people Comprises shower room/WC, two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with a single bed. Fully fitted galley kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Lounge/diner with two settees. Sea views. Colour TV, DVD and Freeview. Outside: Patio access from lounge.

  • Demelsa - Maximum of 6 people Demelsa has 3 bedrooms, the double has an en-suite with shower), the other two have twin beds.
    There is an open plan lounge, kitchen/diner with fridge freezer and microwave, dishwasher and a bathroom with bath/shower and WC.

Three Luxury Holiday Homes

We can now offer you the chance to stay in one of our Three new Luxury Holiday Homes within our grounds. Each of our Luxury Holiday Homes is in a garden setting all have private decks. The Holiday Homes are fully insulated and double glazed, have central heating and are beautifully appointed. Gas and electricity is included in the price.

Each of our holiday homes sleeps a maximum of 4 people in two bedrooms.

The master bedroom includes a flat-screen TV and comes with a 5-foot double bed, an ensuite toilet and wash basin. The second bedroom has twin beds - these can be put together to make another double if required. There are duvets on all beds and bed linen in included in the price.

The shower room has a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin.

The kitchen/diner is fully equipped with full-size, 4 burner gas cooker with oven and separate grill, microwave and integrated fridge freezer. We also include an iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner.

The luxurious lounge with flat-screen TV, Freeview and DVD player, comfortable sofas and French doors opening onto the private deck area with outdoor furniture.

 

  • Holiday Home No. 1 - From the lounge and the deck area, No 1 has a fabulous dual outlook. In one direction the view is across the fields, home to many wild birds including curlew and pheasants, with the spire of Cubert's Norman church in the distance. In the other direction, the view is across Cubert Common with West Pentire, Crantock and Newquay on the skyline. There are also distant sea glimpses. At night, the light of Trevose lighthouse is clearly visible..

HOW TO FIND US

From Newquay, take the A3075 signpost Perranporth and Redruth. Follow this road until you reach a large crossroads at the top of a hill. Turn right, signpost Cubert and Holywell Bay. Travel through Cubert Village past the Shops and take the second turning on the right into Sea View Lane. At the end of this lane, turn right then immediately left. Follow this lane, do not turn off, it's fairly long and becomes narrow. At the end of this lane on the right is a gate to Cubert Common, and on the left is the entrance to Beach View, Trenwith House. You have arrived for a super holiday. Please Note: If you use your SatNav System to find us, you may be directed to take a slightly different route. This route is extremely narrow and may cause damage to your car.
