Barton Farm

Barton Farm is a family run dairy farm where a warm welcome, good food and comfort are a priority. The charming open beamed farmhouse is surrounded by gardens.

Situated in a very quiet countryside location, the farm is just 1 mile from the village of Gweek at the head of the Helford river, which is also home to the National Seal Sanctuary and just 3 miles from the very popular Flambards Theme Park at Helston.

The Gweek Inn is just over 1 mile away and serves very good food at a reasonable price.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation consists of three attractive bedrooms with digital tv and wireless broad band, tea/coffee making facilities, clock/radio, hair dryer and room heaters. There are two bathrooms/showers and own private facilities can be arranged for double rooms if required.

For families - a family unit consisting of 1 double room plus 1 twin room can have their own private bathroom. All bedrooms are situated on the first floor.

We have a lovely open fired TV lounge (Sky TV) and dining room that guests can sit and relax in peace and quiet if they choose.

Barton Farm is an ideal base for touring South West Cornwall and visiting all of the popular scenic areas such as the beautiful Helford river areas and the unique Lizard Peninsula officially designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - an area of many contrasts. Land's End, St. Ives and Newquay are only approximately 40 minutes away by car.

Home of National Maritime Museum, the Port of Falmouth is only a short drive away which also boasts several beautiful sandy beaches ideal for swimming, sunbathing or just simply relaxing on! Other excellent small, quiet, sheltered sandy coves and rugged coastline to explore, can be found around the Lizard Peninsula.

Why not visit the Eden Project and then travel south and see many of the other lovely Cornish traditional Cornish Gardens, Trebah and Glendurgan are only 15 minutes away.

DIRECTIONS

From the Truro-Falmouth direction on the A394 you will come through Manhay (the road has approx 3/4 mile of central red road markings through it). At the next crossroads turn Left towards Gweek, after approx 1 mile you come to a junction at Boskenwyn, turn Left here and our entrance is about 200yds on left. There is also my accommodation sign in Gweek directing you to Barton Farm.
