Porthtowan is a small picturesque village nestled between beach and National Trust land.

Atlantic Cove is just 3 minutes walk from Porthtowan’s sandy, spacious Blue Flag Beach. The family friendly beach is bordered by rock pools, sand dunes, and patrolled by lifeguards throughout the season.

Porthtowan is a renowned surfing beach with world class waves when the conditions are right. Local surf shops provide excellent equipment hire and tuition for all ages.

For those preferring their feet firmly on the ground there are dramatic coastal walks or beautiful inland walks meandering past monuments to Cornwall's mining heritage.

The popular Blue Bar sits on the beach and serves food all day.

In the village you will find all you need with a local post office, local store, deli and ATM machine. There are various beach shops, café, ice cream parlour, surf shops and two children's playgrounds.

The village of St Agnes is less than 10 minutes away , Truro is 20 minutes away, plus St Ives Falmouth, Penzance and Newquay are only 30 minutes away.
