'West Villa' Tehidy Country Park, is a very beautiful family house and is a very special place. Set in a truly wonderful setting and stands within 42 acres of private gorgeous gardens, a sunken garden, parkland and woods for you to explore.

~ History ~

The Mansion was once part of the 'Tehidy Estate' dating back 700 years, then home to the Basset family, who were local land and mine owners, back in the days when Cornwall had a thriving tin and copper industry

~ Spacious Drawing Room/Dining Room ~ Beautiful furnishings. TV. DVD. and comfy furniture. Mahogany table & chairs. Quadruple aspect room with french doors opening on to large private garden laid to lawn.

~ Kitchen/Breakfast Room ~ With access to a large terrace for outside dining. Also access to the 'Sunken Garden' where the statue of 'Lady Flora' can be viewed, a wonderful area for relaxing. Beautifully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, large american style fridge/freezer/ice maker; washing machine; tumble dryer; oven; hob; microwave oven. Table and chairs for 10 people.

Discover the adjoining 250 acre 'Tehidy Country Park' (within 5 mins. walk). The public has free access to woodland walks, with over 9 miles of footpaths for you to discover, cycle trails (why not bring your bikes with you!), a cafe by the lake and picnic areas for you to enjoy.

Tehidy Park contains a wealth of wildlife too including otters, bats, foxes and badgers. The grey squirrels are a popular attraction and are quite approachable, as they are accustomed to being fed by visitors. There are lakes, ponds, cascades, and a number of species of wildfowl including swans, geese, ducks and moorhens. There are a range of species of rhododendrons, and woodland plants such as bluebell, wild garlic, and daffodills.

Many tourist attrations within easy reach for the family, including Flambards; The Seal Sanctuary; Crealy; Dairyland; Newquay Zoo; Trevarno Gdns and much more .....

Ideally situated with easy access to the Cathedral City of Truro, Falmouth on the south coast with the National Maritime Museum and The English Heritage Pendennis Castle. St. Ives with its sandy beaches and home to the Tate Gallery (all just 20 mins. drive). Rick Stein's Restaurant in Padstow is a 30 minute drive.

The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan (40 mins. Drive) Penzance is 25 mins. And from here you can explore Lands End, The Minnack Theatre, or fly to the Isles of Scilly for the day.

If you do not want to take the car, pack a picnic, take a 15 minute stroll through the woods to the coastal footpath and take in the breathtaking views along the coastline. Alternatively, bring your bicycles with you and explore the 3 miles of cycle track.
