We are centrally placed in sought after Boscastle, a superb location on the North Coast of Cornwall. As you turn down our tiny drive Valency reveals itself in all its glory at the valley entrance, just a stroll from the famous harbour, the quaint old village and coastal footpath.

Apart from interesting shops, hostelries and beautiful little churches the village has a unique working Pottery, a Museum of Witchcraft, a strong National Trust presence and a very informative new Visitor Centre.

A short ride or long walk can take you to nearby Tintagel, Crackington Haven, Bude or Port Isaac.

Whilst there is so much nearby, most areas of Cornwall and Devon are easily reached with their diverse range of cliffs, beaches, moors, gardens, rivers and woodlands. You will find towns and villages steeped in heritage and culture, offering entertainment, crafts, various sports and gastronomic delights.

Valency is an eighteenth century former barn first converted in the fifties. Various outbuildings have been incorporated over the years. We have personally refurbished the whole property to a high standard in recent years.

Our aim has been to provide ourselves and our guests with comfort and modern requirements whilst retaining the unique character of our house. Guests frequently praise our service and attention to detail.

We have on site parking; a luxury in Boscastle. Guests are welcome to relax on the slate patio warmer weather. We are fully non smoking.

We are committed to developing sustainable practices without compromising our standards including local sourcing of food to ensure the conservation of this beautiful area. We were delighted to be finalists for the 2008 Cornwall Tourism Award for Sustainability
