Treworgie Barton is a unique collection of four and five
star rated self catering holiday cottages set in 36 acres of farmland
and woodland in Cornwall with magnificent views over rolling countryside
to the sea. The nine superb self catering holiday cottages at Treworgie
Barton are formed from the traditional Cornish stone barns and farm buildings
arranged around a courtyard.
These attractive and tasteful holiday cottage conversions
retain many of the original features a delightful combination of stone,
slate, exposed beams and timber trusses which give the holiday cottages
tremendous and interesting character. Every holiday cottage includes Freeview
digital television and DVD player. Our "Treworgie WiFi" guest
wireless internet access has also recently been upgraded to provide better
coverage and greater reliability.
The Treworgie Barton holiday cottages are ideally situated for exploring
both Devon and Cornwall. Our nearest beach is the beautiful cove of Crackington
Haven, just two miles away, which is within the North Cornwall Heritage
Coast area, famous for it's rugged beauty and spectacular walks. Cornwall
is renowned for it's sparkling blue seas, safe sandy beaches and surf.
Within easy reach of our Cornish holiday cottages there
are a host of interesting fishing villages such as Padstow, Port Isaac,
Boscastle and Clovelly. Millook, another wonderfully quiet cove close
by attracts geologists from all over the world to see the chevron folds
in the sandstone rock face. Each holiday cottage at Treworgie Barton is
a perfect base for exploring the rolling countryside of Cornwall which
offers tremendous variety, with woods, lakes, moors and farmland dotted
with picturesque hamlets and towns.
The local Parish Church dates back to XIIth Century and
is certainly worth a visit. Just nine miles away from the holiday cottages,
Bude offers supermarkets, restaurants, horse riding, Splash leisure pool
and sports hall. There are opportunities for climbing, fishing (sea, canal
and lakeside) and golf.
The new North Cornwall Cycle Trail, part of the new National
Cycle Network, passes within 200yds of Treworgie Barton.
For those who need a beach to crash out on, there is one
to suit all needs from pebbly rock pools to wide open sandy bays up and
down the coast.
