Locality

Five miles from old market town of Wadebridge, excellent facilities for eating out, shopping and entertainment. Good local shops, several art galleries and cycle hire facilities for the Camel Trail which runs through along the River Camel from Padstow, through Wadebridge to Bodmin.

For walkers, the Saints Way passes within a mile of the farm on its way from Padstow on the north coast to Fowey on the south coast. Reputedly an old track used by firstly by pilgrims on their way to Rome and the Holy Land, then by drovers from Ireland and Wales avoiding the treacherous waters around Lands End, it is a picturesque route through Cornwall linking many old religious sites. Other local footpaths are well signed and offer peaceful exploration of quiet woods and tracks.

Hustyns Health Spa is about two miles away, offering swimming pool, gym, coffee shop and an excellent restaurant, not to mention a large range of beauty treatments, all available to non-members.

The historic village of St Wenn, named after St Wenna, daughter of the Welsh King Broccan, lies about a mile away, set above the valley with spectacular views of unspoiled countryside all around, including the ancient Iron Age hill fort of Castle an Dinas, some four miles distant.
