This lovely spacious cottage style local stone barn is
in a tiny friendly rural working hamlet of only 6 properties, situated
at the end of a single
track country lane and enjoying splendid views across open countryside
to the distant sea.
Converted about 20 years ago this character property is
thought to date back some 200 years.
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation is based on a reverse level theme, with
the exposed beam living area on the first floor, allowing the extensive
views be enjoyed through the full length window.
This character property is a comfortable home, not compromise
accommodation created just for the holiday market. The lounge/diner for
example measures about 23'X 15'. With a private garden and BBQ for the
summer and open fire in the winter it is the ideal all year round retreat.
The sleeping accommodation consists of one double bedroom
plus two twin rooms and a good quality double pull out sofa bed.
The property has ample space to comfortably accommodate
up to 8 people.
Additionally a cot, highchair and stair gate can be provided
on request at no extra charge. There is a main bathroom with shower/bath
WC and basin plus a second WC on the first floor.
Bed linen, and all electricity is provided. A complimentary
starter log pack for the open fire is available during winter months.
There is an adjacent private lockable garage to keep your
surfboards, bikes, walking boots or other equipment secure.
LOCATION
Central for touring and yet only 3 miles from Porth Beach
the property is ideally placed for the perfect family holiday either exploring
Cornwall or
enjoying the nearby coast.
The Atlantic Highway is just 10 minutes away giving easy
access to some of the best parts of Cornwall. Alternatively, for walkers
the South West Coast Path can be reached quickly by car.
Close by is Watergate Bay with Jamie Oliver's famous "Fifteen"
Restaurant.
Porth
Porth is a large expanse of golden sand, very popular with
families due to the safe bathing in the area. A spectacular feature of
the beach is the blow hole at the end of the island which can be seen
at mid tide - especially on windy days.
The area around the beach is well developed with all amenities
- beach shops, mini market, toilets, and cafes. There is parking close
to the beach.
