The holiday Cottages are situated in a superior coastal position on the edge of Trewellard village. This North Western tip of Cornwall between St. Ives and Land's End is generally accepted as one of the most unspoilt areas of the County.
The cottages are all within stones throw of the owners house and are
personally managed. Fantastic area with many excellent beaches.
Nearest of which are Portherras and Boat Cove nestling beneath the gaze
of Pendeen Lighthouse. The white sands of Sennen, Marazion, Porthcurno
and many more beaches and coves waiting to be discovered a short drive
away.
The cliff tops and South West Coastal path are on the doorstep offering fabulous coastal walks, and this an interest tin mining area to explore, the Crowns mine stacks, Levant mine and Geevor Mine with its excellent museum and cafe are a short distance away. There are many moorland walks, ancient granite landmarks and sites. Such as Men-an-Tol and the Merry Maidens to visit.
Other places to visit are, Porthcurno Telegraph museum, and not to be missed a performance at the famous Minack open air clifftop theatre also at Porthcurno. Day trips to the Isles of Scilly can be made by sea from Penzance harbour or from Lands End airport just 4 miles away. Golf is available at the very scenic & challenging Cape Cornwall Golf club (4miles) National Trust Garden at Trengwainton is only 5 miles distant.
Pubs ? One just up the road, The Trewellard Arms-easy walking distance hosts Gill & Martin, also the North Inn and The Radjel nearby. Slightly further away on our stunning coastal road are the Tinners at Zennor and the renowned Gurnards Head.
Eating places in village. The family friendly Meadery popular
with all. The Field House, open Easter- October with excellent
reviews and bring your own wine.
Our village itself has a very well stocked shop selling most of your daily
needs includingnewspapers. There is a good bus service with a stop approx.
300 yards. from cottages.
From May to September, the Special Open Top hop on hop off 300 Bus service
operate around the peninsula for site seeing taking in St. Ives,
Lands End, Sennen and Marazion. If you are travelling by train,
the bus station and taxi rank are adjoining the train station.
