Trevillett Mill Tintagels
The Mill House

The mill was made famous by Thomas Creswick RA (1811-1869) whose painting called The Valley Mill hung in the Royal Academy exhibition of 1851. The mill was originally equipped with two water wheels arranged in tandem. The Mill was used as a corn mill until 1928.

Trevillett Mill's self catering holiday cottages are uniquely situated in Rocky Valley, North Cornwall, on the seaward side of the Tintagel to Boscastle road.

The Mill is a grade II listed 15th century Watermill set in the beautiful wooded Rocky Valley with a lively river flowing alongside. Rocky Valley boasts many rare and beautiful flowers and wildlife.

From the Mill you can take a 10 minute picturesque stroll alongside the cascading river, down to the sea and the North Cornwall coastal footpath. On the way; you will come across carvings of a 7 ring Labyrinth (Maze).This is a renowned place of mystery and local history. Some say that it dates back to the Bronze Age, others that it was carved by a miller some two centuries ago.

Trout Beck Cottage Sleeps 2

Is a detached stone built cottage, which was converted from an old gain store, situated on the approach to Trevillett Mill set within 5 acres of land in Rocky Valley, less than five minutes walk to the sea. Perfect for couple’s, an ideal romantic retreat! The cottage has it’s own parking space and garden with seating and barbecue.

Trout Beck is an inverted cottage (bedroom downstairs) that offers traditional charm with all modern comforts. Large double bedroom, bathroom with shower hand basin and toilet. French doors open out to a private parking area. Open tread stairs to the first floor. Open plan high beamed lounge area with wood burner, TV skybox and DVD player. The recently refurbished kitchen area has been equipped to a high standard with cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and dining table. The first floor can also be accessed directly from the garden.

Trout Fry is a detached stone built cottage (a converted barn), situated on the approach to Trevillett Mill. The cottage has it’s own parking space and garden with seating area and barbecue. Accommodation consists of fully fitted Kitchen/Dining Room, with a cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and a dining table and chairs. Bathroom with shower cubicle hand basin and toilet. Door leads to open beamed lounge. There is a TV skybox and DVD player and a selection of books and DVDs. Open tread stairs to first floor galleried double bedroom with restricted headroom.

Trout Leap Cottage Sleeps 4

Trout Leap is a detached cottage set in Rocky valley and is the ideal location for your holiday in North Cornwall. Situated in its own private garden with ample parking, Tout Leap has comfortable family accommodation for 4 guests with one double and one twin bedrooms.

Accomodation : Trout Leap is furnished and equipped to a high standard Entrance hallway, lounge with T.V dvd player selection of books and games. Bathroom with shower cubicle toilet and basin, fully fitted modern kitchen with microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. Ground floor double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a pleasant patio area accessed directly from the ground floor provides the perfect place to enjoy breakfast al-fresco. There is a twin bedded bedroom upstairs.

Rocky Valley

Valley of outstanding natural beauty, the public footpath meanders down the valley to meet up with the coastal footpath, walkers have the options to walk to Tintagel Castle or Boscastle both about 90 minutes steady walking distance.

On sunny days one can relax beside the river and watch it cascade into a rocky inlet. On windy days the waves breaking into the entrance of the inlet are very spectacular and dangerous.

Stunning views of the sea, cliffs and the island of Lundy can be seen on clear days. In the spring wild flowers, birds abound and if lucky deer can be seen moving through the valley. Also badgers, voles and many other small animals live in the valley.
