Coastal paths and stunning views second to
none are a must if you want to "get away from it all". Walks to suit every
ability, including country paths, are abundant in West Cornwall. We can
drop you at start points, during the off peak season, enabling you to
walk back at your leisure.
The first walk will probably be to the beach,
famous for its surfing and clear water (patrolled by lifeguards). Steps
from the top of the cliff make access straightforward. To the right as
you walk to the beach you will see the Giant Steps, noted to be the finest
example of ancient field systems. When the tide is out you can walk on
to Sennen`s mile of golden sand with cafes, pub and shops. The coast path
takes you along to Sennen when the tide is in. A further mile and Land's
End awaits. On a clear day the Isles of Scilly can be clearly
seen from the cliff tops. Flights and boat trips daily from Land`s End
airport & Penzance.
Rugged cliffs, moorland, open fields,
streams running through wooded valleys can all be enjoyed on a single
walk. Circular routes or longer distances and you are never far from "home".
West Cornwall has some of the finest prehistoric sites in the country.
Most are in a 10 mile radius of Trevedra. Stone age villages, standing
stones, stone circles, fogues, ancient tombs all have their own tales
and superstitions. Why not visit a few and feel the magic of the legends?
Golf course at Cape Cornwall,
St. Just overlooks the only cape in England. Penzance & St.Ives offer
good shopping and both have a swimming pool and gym. Fishing, sea, coarse,
freshwater etc are all nearby. You can watch fish being landed at Newlyn
and buy fresh fish, crab etc from the nearby shop - or one of the fisherman.
More cultural experiences may be found in the many art galleries and none
is more famous than The Tate at St. Ives but don't miss the superb smaller
galleries and local artists. Many stunning gardens growing Tropical plants
that enjoy our warmer climate are worth the visit. The beaches, coves
and secluded inlets are too numerous to mention but each has its own charm.
It is lovely to find the hidden treasures, even during the peak season.
Other local attractions include the Minack Theatre, St. Michael's Mount,
Paradise Park (bird sanctuary) Flambards Theme Village, Geevor Tin Mine.
The famous Eden Project ,Lizard Penisular & Newquay etc are other day
trips that can be enjoyed from a base at Trevedra.
There really is something for everyone, from spring
flowers to autumn sunsets.
Enjoy a real Cornish welcome on a working family farm, where ensuring
you enjoy your stay is our main priority.
